On the hiking trail from the Passo Gardena to the Puez hut, we experience the Dolomites in unique beauty and variety: species-rich flower meadows at the Passo Gardena, bizarre peaks and jags at the Forcela Cier, the lunar landscape of the Puez plateau. Fossil imprints of ancient shells remind us that the Dolomites were formed in the sea many millions of years ago.
