KRON AKTIV Via ferrata with alpine guide: Lagazuoi
The history of the Lagazuoi is mostly known for the battles between Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies during the First World War.
It was soon clear to both sides that the best protection from enemy artillery fire was provided by the mountain itself and so both armies began to excavate galleries and caverns in the mountain with the intent of blowing up their adversaries, transforming Piccolo Lagazuoi into a natural fortification.
Today the galleries are open to public.
We kindly ask you to take your own car.
