Via Ferrata Gran Cir with mountain guide

The via ferrata leading to the summit of Gran Cir offers spectacular views of the northern faces of the Sella massif, the Sassolungo, and the high plateau of the Puez Group. This route is perfect for those wanting to take their first steps into the world of via ferrata: it’s ideal for beginners to try out easy climbing in a safe environment, enjoy stunning panoramas, and improve movement and sure-footedness – all while surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Dolomites.
The tour begins on a gravel road that leads to the upper station of the Dantercepies cable car. From there, a narrower trail takes you to the rock formations where the via ferrata begins. A secured and partially covered ramp leads across to its end. From there, the path continues uphill in zigzag fashion over easy hiking terrain until reaching a gully at the base of a smooth rock wall. This is where the most challenging section of the route is located (difficulty A/B).
After mastering this passage, the route follows the western ridge with light climbing sections along the via ferrata to the summit of Gran Cir – where a breathtaking 360-degree panorama over the Dolomites awaits.
