Klosn
The Klosn in Stilfs is an ancient noise ritual celebrated on Saturday, December 5, 2026. On this day, legendary mythical creatures descend upon the village. Young men embody the “Schellern,” “Esel,” and “Tuifeln” in frightening masks and colorful robes. They ring and make noise with heavy bells, while St. Nicholas, surrounded by the four “Weißen” (whites), walks calmly through the streets.
In the evening, the festive community gathers in front of the church for the “Avemarialäuten” (Ave Maria ringing), followed by a lively celebration with music, food, and drink that lasts into the night.
