Jazz Festival: Hippo
A hippo is a lumbering animal. Despite its name, this band from the Welsh port city of Bristol has nothing to do with the gentle lumbering of a hippopotamus. The band combines the spontaneity of jazz with electronic soundscapes, using analog synthesizers and effects to create a melodic yet untamed and wild sound.
