4 CLARINETS The 'Woody Black 4' explore a whole range of musical languages born out of the clarinet compositions of recent decades. The warm sound of this instrument is consciously used as such, only to be shattered, exploded or sometimes diluted in order to achieve a wide stylistic variety. This is a quartet that chooses a slightly different jazz path and explores the possibilities of its instrumental line-up in a refreshingly casual way. Stylistically, the four musicians move between modern jazz, avant-garde and world music.
