Jazz concert with Duo Hofmaninger/Schwarz

"Davul-Zurna" is the oldest pictorially depicted mode of playing in our cultural history. The two artists Lisa Hofmaninger and Judith Schwarz are dedicated to this musical form from the East. As in traditional Davul-Zurna groups, this duo brings together "Gebläse" (woodwinds) and "Geschläge" (percussion). With soprano saxophone and drums, bass clarinet and slotted bass drum, Hofmaninger and Schwarz find a contemporary approach to the Eastern past. The two musicians take their own compositions, moods and stories as their starting point, while live they focus on the acoustics and atmosphere of the venue. During the concert, they will experiment with the acoustic characteristics of different spots in the cellar and then integrate them into their performance. A love of sonic nuances and the joy of experimenting make up the essence of this duo that is generally very popular with audiences.
