Jazz concert - HEROES: WENN DIE SOLDATEN MARSCHIEREN - A MAHLER-PROJECT BY MICHA

Sweet Alps Orchestra (Norbert's Choice) Pianist and composer Michl Lösch has assembled some of the greats of Italian jazz in the Sweet Alps Orchestra. Together, the octet has already realised several thematic projects, including a "Concerto for Music Band", "Voyage", "Mundial" and "Heroes". In the new project "Heroes: When the Soldiers March", they present a suite of paraphrases of Mahler songs on the theme of soldiering. On the occasion of recent events, the theme of the project takes on frightening topicality. The Sweet Alps Orchestra explores Mahler's harmonies and his versatile rhythms from different perspectives. Free and improvising, they rediscover Mahler's - always topical - compositions. Central pieces are "Revelge", "Wo die schönen Trompeten blasen", "Der Tambourg'sell" and "Schildwaches Nachtlied".
