Johannes Dickbauer's quartet plays refined yet accessible compositions, powerful and imposing, delicate and touching. Dickbauer's vocabulary is marked by an unmistakable spirit of adventure. He playfully fuses classical, folk, jazz and rock elements and is able to inspire with this approach. For his compositions for J.D. Hive he has been awarded at the Seifert Jazz Violin Competition. The violinist is accompanied by up-and-coming talent Sebastian Schneider on piano, Swiss bassist Andreas Waelti and versatile multi-percussionist András Dés.
