Introduction to Group Leadership of Children

With this seminar, those responsible for leading groups in summer camps or educational programs for children will receive an

introduction to organization and pedagogical guidelines.

Organizational content:

Preparatory work before starting with the group

Cooperation with parents and with the employer

Daily schedule, preparation of rooms, preparation of excursions

Pedagogical content:

Reflection on one's own pedagogical approach

Guiding large groups, guiding small groups

Basic rules for good interpersonal cooperation

Supervisory duty: observation and intervention to protect the child

Handling emergency situations

Information duty towards parents and employers

Evaluation with children: documenting important learning processes
