International Museum Day 2026
The 2026 edition of the International Museum Day will take place on Sunday, May 17, in the province of Bolzano, under the ICOM theme “Museums uniting a divided world.”
Adults and children are warmly invited to explore the museum and take part in exciting activities! A detailed programme will follow.
Museum opening hours: 10:00–6:00 p.m. | Activities from 11:00am to 5:00pm | Admission is free.

CREATIVE WORKSHOP: Fantastic Visual Worlds
Artfully crafted scenes and images worked into metal vessels tell stories of festivals, offerings, hunting, and music. Create your own fantastic world of images inspired by ancient models!
FIBULAE – more than just practical clothing pins!
Some are stunningly decorated, others are curved like snakes, and a few even reveal who wore them in times long gone. Come and discover your favorite fibula!
Playing games in ancient Rome
Get in the game and don’t be a spoilsport!
UNDER PROPAGANDA – Archaeology between war and peace
