International festival of textile crafts, textile art and design

The IX. Sales Fair for Textile Crafts, Textile Art and Design from 15 to 17 March will once again present itself as a constantly new, innovative and inspiring international event. Visitors can experience the unique variety of products from textile manufacturers, fashion and textile designers, artists and designers with all their senses in the medieval Maretsch Castle in Bolzano, which is surrounded by a special flair. The Bolzano Textile Academy, as organiser, endeavours to make particularly interesting, culturally and historically important or often endangered (art) crafts accessible to a broad public at each edition. In addition to the creations of the designers and craftspeople, special highlights include the "Dipdii Textiles" exhibition, which are produced on the basis of local textile traditions in Bangladesh, the thematic focus on "Healthy and happy sleep" with the exciting lecture "How to make a bed....... is that right? with textile expert Otto v. Aufschnaiter. There will also be show weaving with Kevin Brown, who will be weaving his special fabrics live on the loom, the Lifestyl trend zone and the Winners Gallery, where the products or projects of the winners of the European Textile & Craft Award 2024 will be exhibited.
