International Day of Light

On May 16, Brixen will shine in the spirit of light! The International Day of Light highlights the fundamental importance of light for science, culture, and sustainable development. In 2025, Brixen will host a special event honoring the values of the Water Light Festival – sustainability, creativity, and a deep connection with nature. Under the theme “Water is Life – Light is Art”, a magical interplay of light, water, and art comes to life. While the Water Light Festival returns in 2026, visitors can already experience an inspiring tribute to water places and their symbolic power in Brixen. Art becomes a bridge for reflection on ecology, sustainability, and culture – offering a whole new way to experience light.
