Hiking tour with mountaineer Hanspeter Eisendle: Roen mountain peak

Hiking Day with Renowned South Tyrolean Mountaineer Hanspeter Eisendle Mountain hike to the scenic summit of Roen (2,116 m) on the Mendelkamm We will take a coach ride over the Gampen Pass down to Fondo in Nonsberg, and then up to the Mendel Pass (1,362 m), which is the starting point of our hike. We will ascend through forest paths and alpine meadows to reach Malga Romeno (mountain pasture) at 1,768 m. From there, the hike continues on a well-maintained trail to the scenic summit of Roen (2,116 m). After a leisurely break at the summit, where we can enjoy our packed lunch, we will descend through open alpine meadows with breathtaking views to Malga Smarano and Sfruz (1,905 m). Crossing the slopes of Roen, we will return to the ascent path and descend to Malga Romeno, where we will briefly stop. The trail then passes by the Halbweg Hut and descends through open meadows until we reach the Roen Stuben (1,350 m), where the bus awaits for the return journey.
