Hike to the Tiefrastensee lake in Terenten
South Tyrol is renowned worldwide for its majestic mountains, clear Alpine lakes and idyllic walking trails.
Starting from the Winnebachtal car park (1,412 metres), we will make our way into the valley along the slightly ascending path that leads to the Astnerberg Alm pasture. From that point, the path gets steeper until we reach the waterfall, where a gentler section starts. This is followed by another ascent of medium difficulty to the Tiefrastenhütte hut and lake, where we will be welcomed by a staggering panorama that will make us forget all the effort. The way back is along the same route.
Refreshment points: Tiefrastenhütte hut, Astner Bergalm hut
Total walking time: approx. 4 hours, covering a distance of 10 km and 900 metres of elevation gain.
