Guided hiking tour to the Castel Forte

From Lajen/Laion we hike along the Walther von der Vogelweide circular trail descending towards Albions (857m). From here continue along the Walther von der Vogelweide circular trail to Ried/Novale (760m) and Villnod (657m). From Villnod walk along path no. 2 in the direction of Castel Forte (627m). You can visit the former home of Oswald von Wolkenstein, one of the most imposing castles of South Tyrol. It was built at the end of the 12th century and rebuilt into a resistant fortress in the 17th century.
