A concert experience for lovers of baroque music.

Haendel's wonderful "Occasional Oratorio" (HWV 62) will be performed by choirs and musicians from the three Euregio regions. The concert should be a cultural musical statement that connects and makes borders disappear!

The South Tyrolean Choir Association, the Tyrolean Choir Association and the "Federazione Cori del Trentino" have sent three choirs to perform Haendel's choral oratorio: the vocal ensemble NovoCanto from North Tyrol, the ensemble VocalArt from Bressanone and the Corale Antares from Trentino, which meet on an equal footing in terms of performance standards and also on an interpersonal level.

These are the best prerequisites for a homogeneous performance of the demanding choral parts. Concertmaster Wolfgang Kostner has an original local orchestra of international calibre at his disposal in the form of the Tyrolean Baroque Instrumentalists. The soloists, too, are highly decorated, regional and international: Marie Theoleyre will perform the virtuoso soprano arias, Ludwig Obst the tenor part and Yevhen Rakhmanin the baritone solos.

Haendel created the work in the form of an anthem for a special occasion: As a strengthening of the sense of community in (politically) troubled times.
