A forest adventure for families: exciting stories, making a healing ointment and a forest runner badge in the Castle garden.

Discover the wonders of the forest with biologist and herbalist Carolin. Children learn exciting facts about trees and forest dwellers through play and research. Together they collect the resin from the trees and use it to make a traditional healing ointment, a much-appreciated household remedy in South Tyrol, in the garden of Castle Welsperg. Each "forest runner" creates their own unique badge as a souvenir of this adventure day. Backpacking provisions. Difficulty: easy, suitable for families. Target group: families with children. Time: 1.00 pm.- approx. 4.00 pm. Walking time: 1 hour. Meeting point: at 1.00 pm. at the Pidigbach bridge at the start of the castle circuit (wayside shrine Nepomukstöckl). Costs: 15€ with Guest Pass Val Casies Valley-Monguelfo-Tesido, 25€ without Guest Pass Val Casies Valley-Monguelfo-Tesido. Registration: Online booking within the day before, 5.00 pm. via www.gsieser-tal.guest.net or directly at the tourist information office.
