Flags of Art
Official presentation of the FLAGS OF ART project
Flags of Art is a highly visible artistic statement developed by the 'Südtiroler Künstlerbund" and the 'Eck Museum of Art' in anticipation of the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics Milan-Cortina. Fifteen flags designed by artists from the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Veneto and Lombardy fly at the entrance to the Antholz Valley. They tell of diversity, nature and habitat, community, respect and responsibility. They refer to the power of sport – but also to the downsides of major events. The works thus open up multi-layered perspectives on the Olympics and reflect both the values of the Olympic movement and the challenges of our time.
The presentation will take place on Thursday, 4 December at 2 p.m. in the presence of the participating artists and representatives of the Antholz Valley Tourism Association. The meeting point is at the entrance to the Antholz Valley, by the flags.
