IMMERSIVE CONCERT-PERFORMANCE: SCHMUSECHOR 'SATELLITES' 29/10/2022, 2.00 pm LUMEN. Museum of Mountain Photography, Kronplatz / Plan de Corones, Bruneck / Brunico, South Tyrol Costs: 5 € (includes cable car, admission ticket, performance) The Schmusechor – the most exciting choir since the invention of polyphony - stands for a sparkling mix of pop music, performance, haute couture and passion. According to legend, it was founded about 8 years ago in a Viennese flat-sharing bedroom and has become an indispensable part of the Austrian music scene. Under the artistic direction of Verena Giesinger - exceptional conductor, heartbeat and baton of the Schmusechor - a variety of fulminance is presented that is second to none. Since 2014, the singers have been bringing refined choral versions of well-known pop hits and indie favourites to the stage and have performed alongside numerous Austrian and international greats such as Mira Lu Kovacs, Lylit, Efterklang, Oehl, Paul Plut, Ida Wenøe, Hearts Hearts, Onk Lou, and many more in recent years. The totality of this, paired with rousing live performance and high musical quality, inspires audiences in large houses - such as recently in the renowned, sold-out Radiokulturhaus or likewise sold-out Gartenbaukino in Vienna - as well as a programme item at festivals, such as the wellenklaenge Festival in Lunz am See, Flavourama Dance Festival in Salzburg or even as part of immersive theatre productions with the Nestroy Prize-winning theatre troupe NESTERVAL. From the arrangement to the musical interpretation, performance and choreography to the costume, nothing is left to chance with the Schmusechor. A very special experience awaits the audience at the LUMEN Museum, where the Schmusechor will close the exhibition of the artist Anja Manfredi with a musical performance conceived for the exhibition. The audience can look forward to a museum visit they have never experienced before: The whole thing starts at the valley station and visitors will be accompanied through the entire building and the exhibition.
