Bernadette, a mature transsexual, Mitzi a transvestite with a wife and children, and Adam called Felicia travel, dance and sing in play-back around Australia. Accompanied by a strictly 1970s soundtrack (between Abba and Ritchie Family), they arrive in Alice Springs, where Mitzi's spouse has work for them. Their united loneliness is now a solid friendship.
