by Toni Kaye – USA 2011 – 98’. Free entry.

Henry Barthes is a lonely, introverted man who teaches literature at a high school. When a new assignment takes him to a run-down public school in the American suburbs, the substitute teacher has to deal with an oppressive reality: young people with no ambitions or hopes for the future, disinterested and absent parents, disillusioned and demotivated teachers. Henry's diversity is evident from his first encounter with this chaotic universe. His detachment and lack of emotional involvement allow him to win the respect and participation of difficult students, who will soon disrupt the teacher's seemingly controlled world.
