This year we celebrate the very first edition of the Bread Festival, an event dedicated to one of the simplest and most treasured foods of our tradition.
The event will be hosted by the local mountain huts and businesses of La Crusc / Santa Croce.

In the days leading up to the festival, there will be special moments.

The festival day itself on Sunday will culminate in a joyful celebration with typical dishes, music, encounters and workshops for both children and adults, all centered around bread and the traditions that surround it.

A warm and inclusive event, open to all – a moment to reconnect with the land, with craftsmanship, and with each other.

Here's the detailed program of Sunday in all huts and at the farms:

Ütia L'Tamá

Dish: Rye bread ravioli filled with nettles and butter flavored with fenugreek
Highlight: Discover the wheat grown in the garden and used to bake homemade bread.
For the kids: Let’s make mountain herb salt for the bread!

Ütia Lé

Dish: Creamy cereal mix with beetroot, mountain cheese mousse, and crispy speck, served in a bowl made of rustic mountain herb bread
Highlight: at 11.00 am: Live the experience of baking handmade bread in the traditional oven, with Nikolas Seppi.
Afterwards, the traditional 'Crosti' will be prepared.
For the kids: Weave your own bread basket – just like in the old days! And this together with the craftsmen from the La Spona workshop.

Ütia Nagler

Dish: “Jüfa” – a traditional peasant dish
Highlight: The young farmers of the village prepare the traditional “jüfa” in a large pot, just like in the old days.

Ütia La Crusc

Dish: Veal cutlet with “pücia” breading and a side of potato salad
Highlight: Old photographs share the story of the bread and the hands that lovingly kneaded it.

Ütia Ranch da André

For the kids: Baker for a day - bake your own stick bread!
