These special silk scarves are the result of an exceptional
collaboration between weaver Herman Kühebacher and textile artist
Michaela Pircher (Fibris). Both have their own workshops in Villabassa
in South Tyrol.
The silk is handwoven with great care on a
manual heddle loom. This ancient technique gives the fabric a
vibrant texture and a unique tactile feel.
Local plants are primarily used for dyeing and printing;
the process is completely natural and free of chemical additives.
Thanks to the handweaving and plant-based dyeing, each scarf becomes
a unique and rare piece.
