Ethan Iverson: piano Thomas Morgan: bass Kush Abadey: drums Ethan Iverson is one of the leading pianists in the world of modern jazz. Best known as a founding member of the avant-garde jazz trio The Bad Plus, he has made a name for himself in recent years with his solo projects and the new trio. At Carambolage, Iverson will be playing from his new album "Technically Acceptable", which was released by Blue Note Records in early 2024. Ethan manages like no other to unite the past and present of jazz with a deep bow to the great masters of the past, but also with a personal touch. This makes his playing style adventurous and recognisable at the same time. Over the years, Iverson has recorded albums with well-known musicians such as Ron Carter, Lee Konitz, Mark Turner, Tom Harrell and Jack DeJohnette. His new trio also consists only of high-calibre musicians. Bassist Thomas Morgan has been accompanying musicians such as Bill Frisell, Craig Taborn and Jakob Bro for years. Drummer Kush Abadey has previously worked with Terence Blanchard, Chris Potter and Ravi Coltrane. Performance date: Monday 04 March 2024 at 20:00 at the Carambolage in Bolzano. www.ethaniverson.com
