Ensemble Baborák
The ensemble was founded in 2003 by Radek Baborák, an internationally renowned horn player and conductor, former principal horn of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Its members are united by the common joy of making music, enthusiasm for discovering unknown works and the search for special, non-traditional interpretations of compositions, some of which have even been dedicated to the ensemble.
In Bolzano they will present the Sextet in E-flat major for horn and string quartet (arrangement of Radek Baborák's Quintet op. 4) by L. van Beethoven and works by three Eastern European composers:
Anton REJCHA: Quintet for horn and string quartet E major op. 106
Alexander GLAZUNOV: Idyll and Serenade for horn and string quartet ( 1884 ) and Reverie
Lev KOGAN (1927 - 2007): Chasidic Tunes
