The Austrian Piano Trio, consisting of brothers Georg (violin), Florian (cello) and Christoph Eggner (piano), is considered one of the most renowned piano trios of our time. It regularly performs in major concert halls such as Wigmore Hall in London and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and appears at numerous festivals. The trio gained international attention in 2003 when it won first prize at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in Australia and in 2006 when it performed at Carnegie Hall, Cité de la musique Paris, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Kölner Philharmonie, Mozarteum Salzburg and the Vienna Musikverein as part of the ‘Rising Stars’ series.

The ensemble's award-winning recordings include piano trios by Beethoven, Brahms, Shostakovich, Iván Eröd, Werner Pirchner and works composed especially for the Eggner Trio by Johannes Berauer, Sascha Peres and Gerrit Wunder.

In Bolzano, the trio will perform works by Haydn (Trio in A major, XV: 18), Saint-Saëns (Trio in F major, Op. 18, No. 1) and Beethoven's Archduke Trio.
