Dolomites alta via trail no. 3

From Prato Piazza (1991m) to the alpine hut Prato Piazza and then a short descent to the malga Stolla hut (1940m). On a beautifully laid out hiking trail with short serpentines towards the alpine hut Rossalm. Several short ascents and descents. There is also a exposed passage with hand rope protection. After about 3 hours we reach the alpine hut Rossalm (2165m). Return on the mountain path to Brückele. Option: Ascent to the summit of the Kleiner Jaufen (2375m), approx. 200m. Possibility to stop for refreshments. Time: 8.00 am.-4.00 pm. Departure 8.00 am. From Monguelfo train station with public bus no. 443 to Prato Piazza. IMPORTANT: Take your Guest Pass Holidaypass with you! Length: 11 km. Difference in altitude: 490m in ascent, 830m in descent. Difficulty: medium.
