For several months the artist Carmen Müller has been going on expedition and researching as a "garden researcher" in the gardens of Bressanone. She looks behind the gates of monastery and private gardens and those gardens that have a social concern. In encounters with the respective caretakers, she learns the different stories of the individual plants and recognizes the signature of the people who take care of the gardens. The artist uses notes, drawings, paintings, textiles, and photographic documentation to implement the inventory in her cabinets of naturalia. The exhibition is a tribute to a quote by Rilke "There are moments when a rose is more important than a piece of bread." Carmen Müller (*1955 in Bressanone) lives as a freelance artist in Merano. Studied at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
