Current Issues in Minority Law – International Conference
The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano hosts an international academic conference on current issues in minority law. The event marks the publication of the monograph "Foundations of Minority Protection under International, European and Constitutional Law" by lawyer Dr. Christoph Perathoner, and the award of his National Scientific Qualification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) as associate professor in international law. The work provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal foundations of minority protection at the international, European and constitutional levels, with particular focus on the Ladin and Friulian linguistic minorities in Italy and the Romansh-speaking community in Switzerland.
The conference brings together leading scholars in international, European and constitutional law and minority studies, addressing the latest developments and key challenges in minority protection across Europe and beyond. The scientific committee comprises Peter Hilpold, Hannes Hofmeister and Christoph Perathoner, with the collaboration of Paul Patreider.
