Corals under the microscope: workshop at the Nature Museum
Corals are considered the builders of the seas. They consist of countless polyps that form huge coral reefs in symbiosis with small algae. Young people from the age of 12 and adults can observe these unique creatures under the microscope at the workshop in Italian "La natura al microscopio: i coralli", which will take place on Thursday, 5 October from 5.30 to 7 p.m. at the South Tyrol Museum of Nature in Bolzano. Those who attend will learn how corals eat, what their tentacles look like and how they use their secret weapons. They can also identify the algae that live in these organisms and feed them.
