Conference - The Perfect Merchant
According to the description by Jacques Savary from the 17th century, a merchant needed honesty, a friendly disposition, logical thinking, solid mathematical skills, and piety. Additionally, organization skills, a keen business sense, and a bit of luck were also required – qualities that are still beneficial for a successful business today.
In the conference, Stefano Locatelli explores interesting aspects of the theoretical and practical training of merchants in past centuries. Federico Pigozzo delves deeper into the wisdom that a prudent and cautious merchant should follow.
Helmut Rizzolli presents the exhibition "Mercanti si diventa".
The conference will be held in Italian.
The abstracts will be available in Italian and German in printed form.
