Concert Yeongdeungpo Mandolin Chamber + Breganze Plucked String Orchestra
On Monday, June 5, 2023, there will be a concert at Maretsch Castle in Bolzano, starting at 8:30 pm, with the Breganze Plucked String Orchestra (Vicenza) and the Yeongdeungpo Mandolin Chamber from Seoul (South Korea). The conductors are Andrea Bazzoni and Kim Areum. Admission is free.
In the program works by Masataka Hori, Arrigo Cappelletti, Yohann Tschoi, Raffaele Calace, A. Gnaga, Claudio Mandonico, Dimitri Nicolau.
The Yeongdeungpo Mandolin Chamber (YMC) is a women's mandolin and amateur club that has been active since 2014. The YMC aims to promote the mandolin throughout Korea through regular concerts. It is currently directed by Kim Areum, a graduate of the only mandolin chair in an academic school in Korea.
The Breganze Plucked String Orchestra, whose foundation dates back to 1903, is conducted by Andrea Bazzoni, a mandolin player from the Conservatory of Padua. The orchestra has performed at prestigious events in Italy and abroad and has also participated in international mandolin festivals.
