Concert of Billy Mohler's Euro-American Quartet

Double bassist Billy Mohler is one of the leading figures of the vibrant Los Angeles scene. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Mohler attended the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz studying and performing with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and other luminaries. Well-established in the pop and rock worlds as a composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and session player, Mohler has received a Grammy nomination, and has worked with the likes of Ringo Starr, The Smashing Pumpkins and their drummer Jimmy Chamberlin's Complex, Macy Gray, Nile Rogers, Lady Gaga, Mavis Staples, Steven Tyler, Dolly Parton, Jon Brion, and many others. His albums Focus, Anatomy, Ultraviolet contain ‘incredibly free, creative music, full of exciting twists and constant detours’. His approach as a leader emphasises the musicians' instinctive chemistry as well as his rhythmic and compelling compositions.
