David Zipperle, born and raised in Merano, began studying guitar in Basel, where Jonathan was born in 2004. It wasn't long before the two started making music together, as Jonathan began playing the violin at the age of two and a half. Today, at the age of 20, Jonathan is studying at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg under Esther Hoppe. The Duo Zipperle's program includes works by Giuliani, Piazzolla, Schubert, and Saint-Saëns. The duo takes you on a journey from Italian classical music to Viennese Romanticism and Argentine tango.
