Historia Nativitatis - A Christmas Oratorio after Heinrich Schütz

The Advent Christmas concert in the Freinademetz Church in Milland has become a joint and successful fixture of the Brixen Musik Cultural Association and the Brixen Music and Church Initiative. This year Alexander Schneider and his Ensemble Polyharmonique will perform Historia Nativitatis - A Christmas Oratorio after Heinrich Schütz. Based on Schütz's evangelist parts, this Christmas oratorio tells the story of the Annunciation, the shepherds in the field, the adoration of the wise men from the Orient and the flight into Egypt in motets, sacred concertos and Christmas carols from the 17th century.
