CleanUP Days: Community Hike with The Summit Foundation & Patron
From 18 to 21 September, it’s CleanUP time in South Tyrol: Let’s head outdoors together and collect litter during the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days!
On Saturday, 20 September, we’ll team up with The Summit Foundation and Patron to clean up the area.
Our hike starts at the Karersee car park and takes us up to the Franzin Alm. There, Eleonore Eisath (Lead Innovation Lab | Business Development Manager) will give us a talk on Design for Recycling, innovative packaging solutions and new recycling technologies. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy an aperitif together. At around 5:00 pm, we’ll head back to the car park, where the collected waste will be weighed.
All participants will receive a handy CleanUP Kit, including a bag and a high-quality stainless steel litter picker.
During the hike, we’ll take a break for a relaxed picnic.
Bring along some snacks to share, drinks and a blanket – because sharing is caring!

Participation: free of charge | Registration: online at eggental.com/CleanUP Days
Start: 10:00 am | Duration: approx. 8 hours (approx. 3.5 hours walking time)
Distance: 11.9 km | Difficulty: moderate
What to bring: sturdy shoes, walking poles if needed, warm clothes, hat and rain protection
