The Nutcracker, a timeless classic, will be performed here by the acclaimed and prestigious Russian Classical Ballet company, composed of a cast of Russian ballet stars, under the artistic direction of Evgeniya Bespalova and Denis Karakashev. Based on the fairy tale 'The Nutcracker and the Mouse King' by E.T.A. Hoffmann, the ballet tells the story of a girl who dreams of a prince.
In a savage battle against the Mouse King, the Nutcracker is in danger. Clara, overcoming her own fears, enters the battle and throws her shoe, annihilating the terrible creature and breaking the spell; the Nutcracker becomes a beautiful Prince. The cold night covers the city in snowflakes. The Nutcracker takes Clara to her kingdom, the Kingdom of Sweets, where the Sugar Fairy shares the joy with all the children who, like Clara, can still dream.
A story that activates the imagination in each of us, taking us into the realm of fantasy. The composition of The Nutcracker made the genius Pyotr Tchaikovsky immortal, exalting him in melodic passages such as 'Dance of the Fairy Sugar' and 'Waltz of the Flowers'.
