C. Monteverdi Conservatory – Program January/September 2026
The Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory in Bolzano presents its 2026 edition of "Monteverdi in Concert", a concert series open to all – from long-time lovers of classical music to those approaching it for the first time. The season's theme is Sturm und Drang and its legacy in Romanticism, twentieth-century music, and contemporary electronic sound, captured in the motto "Echo of the Past, Voices of the Present".
Concerts take place in the Sala Michelangeli at the Conservatory, Piazza Domenicani 19, Bolzano. Some events are held in the Josefsaal, as noted in the programme. Admission is free.

21 February – "La Bohème". Tales of Bohème
16 April – Felix Mendelssohn and the Voice of the Instruments
17 April (Josefsaal, 6:00 PM) – The Restlessness of the Sensitive Style. The brothers Carl Philipp Emanuel and Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach
6 May – Percussion Evolution. From rhythmic-timbral research to the purity of gesture
19 May – Monteverdi Trumpets. Contemporary trumpets
25 May – Aspects of Sturm und Drang in Music. Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert
28 May – Sensorial Storms. Dance, sound, images
16 September (Josefsaal) – In lieblicher Bläue. A homage to Dowland, Britten, Henze
