From the 1960s onwards, South Tyrol transformed from an agriculturally shaped region into a tourism destination.

Farmers became hoteliers and ski instructors, and quiet valleys turned into places of experience – until the speculative bubble burst in the early 1980s.

Authors Patrick Rina and Paul Rösch, in conversation with contemporary witnesses Brunhilde Pörnbacher, Reinhold Pörnbacher, Martin Prugger and Margot Trebo, illustrate how South Tyrol became a brand.

The Singgruppe Olang will provide the musical accompaniment for the evening.
