150 years of alpine hospitality at the Ortler

For the 150th anniversary, a book titled „Die Julius-Payer-Hütte - 150 Jahre alpine Gastfreundschaft am Ortler“ (available only in german) by Karin Ortler, the aunt of the current hut keeper, will be published. The richly illustrated chronicle tells the eventful history of the hut through historical photographs, eyewitness accounts, original documents, and press articles. The work is supplemented by personal portraits of the hut keepers of past generations, providing authentic insights into life and work at over 3,000 meters. The book is available at the hut, in bookstores, and online.
