Book presentation “Das Stilfser Joch im 20. Jahrhundert”

On October 1, 2025, the Touriseum will present the new book “Das Stilfser Joch im 20. Jahrhundert - Die Geschichte eines spektakulären Alpenpasses” by Arthur Gfrei. In 2025, the Stelvio Pass celebrates the 200th anniversary of its road, built in record time (1820–1825). From the beginnings of tourism with carriages to major sporting events and motorized traffic, its history is rich and diverse. Amidst murder cases, technical challenges, and natural spectacles, the author recounts fascinating episodes of this Alpine pass.
