Book presentation and reading with Dr. Barbara Gruss
Karl Kweton, a veterinary surgeon and writer from Merano who was known beyond the borders of the region, wrote stories in the Burggräfler dialect in the 1920s and 1930s. His literature was unique for the time. During Italian fascism, the use of German in public was forbidden in South Tyrol. Dr Barbara Gruss has collected her grandfather's works, published them as a book and thus preserved them for posterity.
