Notice is hereby given that the performance Entre mes jambes by Maryam Kaba/Afrovibe Solidarity has been cancelled due to the impossibility of staging it properly and with full scenography in another city theatre following the technical/structural inability of the Teatro Studio where it had been programmed during the festival. The practices of Magdalena Mitterhofer and Shade Theret lie at the intersection of theatre, film, performance and drawing. Their Confessional draws inspiration from the Italian avant-garde theatre of the 1960s and 1970s, channelling the spirit of Giuliano Vasilicò and Pier Paolo Pasolini. Some fundamental questions that emerged during the creative process shaped the work: what does confession mean? What alternatives exist to confession in today's society? How do we define guilt? The narrative develops organically through primary improvisation, drawing inspiration from different contemplations and movements of Catholic rituals. Two performers give life to characters modelled on stereotypes while a third, using mime techniques, seeks a connection with the audience.
