"Big 5": High-altitude excursion to the Fallmetzer summit (2,568 metres)

The Fallmetz summit (2,568m) is an insider tip as it is less well-known but offers a spectacular 360-degree view.
The moderately difficult hike begins with a ride on the Gitschberg cable car in Meransen. The trail leads you through alpine panoramas to the Falzarer Joch between the Altfasstal valley and Pfunders. From the Falzarer Joch, you climb over a grassy ridge to the pre-summit. The slightly exposed transition to the main summit is quickly conquered and an unimagined panoramic view of the large Seefeldsee lake, the Altfasstal valley and the surrounding mountain peaks awaits you.
The descent is via the ascent route. Stop for refreshments on the way back.

Total walking time: approx. 5 hours, covering a distance of 14 km and 525 metres of elevation gain.

Price:
With Almencard from 12 years: 10€ (cable car free of charge)
With museumobilcard and others: 20€ (+ticket for the cable car)
