Biennale Gherdëina 10 - Summer Solstice Trekking
(Future) Paradise Gardens marks the tenth edition of the international contemporary art biennial in Val Gardena, in the heart of the Dolomites.
Curated by Samuel Leuenberger, Biennale Gherdëina 10 explores how gardens can become spaces of care, coexistence, and imagination — rooted in justice, equality, and collective futures.
An intense 25-km hike from Ortisei to Bullaccia, via the Goldknopf to Pilat, to celebrate the summer solstice. Accompanied by palaeontologist Herwig Prinoth and botanist Ujep Runggaldier, we will explore the flora and fauna of the valley and its peaks. At Pilat, we will explore the works of Constantin Thun, Bas Smets + Eliane Le Roux and Judith Neunhäuserer. In dialogue with the artwork by Chanelle Adams.
It is possible to hike only a part of itinerary.
