Baroque sacred music by Leopold von Plawenn
After Augustin Grieninger and Romanus Weichlein, another South Tyrolean Baroque composer is on the program this year: the South Tyrolean composer Leopold von Plawenn, who came from the small hamlet of Plawenn in the municipality of Mals and worked in the Swabian Benedictine monastery of Zwiefalten, wrote a series of sacred works.
The program includes four concertante sacred motets and a Lauretanische Litanei as well as a concertante sacred solo motet. The ensemble for early music vita & anima will be made up of 10 top-class musicians.
In cooperation with the Tiroler Landesmuseen and the Festival of Sacred Music
