St. Barbara's branches have always been cut and freshened on 4th of December.

St. Barbara's branches have always been cut and taken home on 4 December. In the warmth of our living rooms, the closed buds of the fruit branches open even during the cold winter season and blossom until Christmas Eve. At the Christmas market we distribute the branches for a voluntary donation, which goes to the OEW partner
project "Vida y esperanza" for marginalised school children in Bolivia.
