Banda storta - Sognando Fellini (Dreaming of Fellini)
A musical journey through the cultures of the circus world.
Banda Storta is a roving ensemble of musicians in which the artistic creativity of the individual elements comes to life. Banda Storta was born from eclectic minds and dis-torted souls, which find their balance in the arrangements of pieces with circus knowledge and flavour.
With the programme 'Sognando Fellini' the band pays tribute to the great maestro on the 100th anniversary of his birth on 20 January 1920.
The band presents some of the most famous musical pages written for his films: pieces from the period and original compositions. All through the magical atmospheres specially created in an "improbable Fellini circus".
The concert will be accompanied by the projection of a series of films/short films created by Florentine videomaker Alex Bianciardi on the occasion of the centenary of Federico Fellini's birth.
