ANNIVERSARY WEEK for the first ascent
150 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST ASCENT OF THE ZWÖLFERKOFEL
On 27 September 1874, the unthinkable became reality. The first to reach the summit of the 3,094 metre-mountain were Michl and Hans Innerkofler from Sexten. it was a summit ascent that would do down in history-as a major climbing achievment and textbook example of Sexten mountain pride.
This first ascent, which took place 150 years ago, must be celebrated. The Sexten Tourism Association has organised a series of events to celebrate the anniversary.
